    An investigation of nanoscale materials and their incorporation in patch antenna for high frequency applications

    The rapid development in the polymer-based electronic contribute a strong determination for using these materials as substitute to the high-cost materials commonly used as medium substrate in the fabrication of Microstrip Patch Antenna (MPA). Antenna technology can strongly gain from the utilisation of low-cost, flexible, light weight with suitable fabrication techniques. The uniqueness of this work is the use of variety of common but unexplored different polymer materials such as Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl chloride, (PVC) Polystyrene (PS), Polystyrene fibre (PSF) as the substrates for the design and fabrication of different MPAs for communication and sensing applications in millimetre wave (MMW)region. Electrospinning (ES) technique is used to reconstruct PS and produced PSF material of low dielectric constant. A co-solvent vehicle(comprising 50:50 ratio) of Dichloromethane (DCM) and acetone was utilised with processing condition of solution infusion flow-rate of 60ÎŒL/min and an applied voltage of 12± kV yielded rigid PSF substrates. The PSF Produced has complex permittivity of 1.36±5% and a loss tangent of 2.4E-04±4.8E-04 which was measured using Spilt-Post Dielectric Resonators (SPDR) technique at National Physics Laboratory, Teddington, London. A diamond-shaped MPAs on RT Duriod material were simulated and fabricated using photo-lithography for different inner lengths to work in the frequencies range from (1-10 GHz). The resonant frequency is approximated as a function of inner length L1 in the form of a polynomial equation. The fabricated diamond-shaped MPA more compact (physical geometry) as compared with a traditional monopole antenna. This MPAs experimentally measured and have a good agreement with the simulated results. The coplanar waveguide (CPW) diamond-shaped MPA working in the MMW region was designed and fabricated with polymer materials as substrates using thermal evaporation technique and the RF measurement was carried out using Vector Network Analyser (VNA). The resonant frequencies of the CPW diamond shaped MPAs for (PE, PP, PVC, PS and PSF) were found to be 67.5 GHz, 72.36 GHz, 62.41 GHz, 63.25 GHz and 80.58 GHz, respectively. The antenna fabricated on PSF were resonating at higher frequency when compared to the other polymers materials. In adding an air-bridge to the CPW diamond-shaped MPA the resonating frequency increased from ≈55 GHz to≈ 62 GHz. Three different shaped nano-patch antennas (Diamond shaped, diamond shaped array and T-shaped) have been designed, simulated and fabricated on Silicon substrate with DLC deposition using focused Ion Beam (FIB) technique, these antennas were found to resonate at 1.42 THz with (-19 dB return loss), 2.42 THz with (-14 dB return loss) and 1.3 THz with (-45 dB return loss) respectively

    Kawasan wisata bahari agar dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan maka pemanfaatan yang dilakukan harus berkesesuaian dengan kondisi dan daya dukung kawasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian dan daya dukung untuk wisata pantai dan snorkeling di Pulau Hoga Kabupaten Wakatobi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Pengumpulan data primer menggunakan metode survei lapangan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kab. Wakatobi. Penentuan lokasi yang sesuai untuk wisata pantai dan snorkeling menggunakan analisis kesesuaian Yulianda (2007), penentuan daya dukung lokasi wisata pantai dan snorkeling menggunakan persamaan dari Nurisyah et al (2001). Lokasi yang sesuai (SS) untuk snorkeling adalah paparan terumbu (reef flat) disebelah barat Pulau Hoga dan sebagian di sebelah Utara, sedangkan paparan terumbu di sebelah utara lainnya, timur, dan selatan, dikategorikan sesuai bersyarat (SB). Tidak ada lokasi yang diamati berkategori tidak sesuai. Lokasi yang sesuai (SS) untuk wisata pantai adalah Pantai Kasim, sedangkan Pantai Hoga Besar, Pantai Hoga Selatan dan Pantai Hoga Utara masuk kategori sesuai bersyarat (SB) untuk wisata pantai. Pantai yang berkategori tidak sesuai adalah Pantai Hoga Timur. Daya dukung untuk wisata snorkeling sebanyak 924 orang/hari, sedangkan daya dukung untuk wisata pantai adalah 17 orang/hari

    Demystifying the Characteristics of 3D-Stacked Memories: A Case Study for Hybrid Memory Cube

    Three-dimensional (3D)-stacking technology, which enables the integration of DRAM and logic dies, offers high bandwidth and low energy consumption. This technology also empowers new memory designs for executing tasks not traditionally associated with memories. A practical 3D-stacked memory is Hybrid Memory Cube (HMC), which provides significant access bandwidth and low power consumption in a small area. Although several studies have taken advantage of the novel architecture of HMC, its characteristics in terms of latency and bandwidth or their correlation with temperature and power consumption have not been fully explored. This paper is the first, to the best of our knowledge, to characterize the thermal behavior of HMC in a real environment using the AC-510 accelerator and to identify temperature as a new limitation for this state-of-the-art design space. Moreover, besides bandwidth studies, we deconstruct factors that contribute to latency and reveal their sources for high- and low-load accesses.     Abstract The development of the body of the vehicle holds an important roleinthe eficiency of the vehicle. One of them is Speed vehicle which is affected  by  the stability of the vehicle, the shape and surface of the vehicle body Currently the number of passenger cars in Indonesia in 2018 has reached 16,440,987 units (Central Bureau of Statistics, 2020). The rapid increase  in  the number  of car ownership is offset by the high number of car accidents mainly because the driver or owner of the car has not mastered the condition or  performance of the vehicle. The number of car accidents has an impact on the type of damage  inflicted  both  mild, moderate, and severe damage. Damage to the body  of the  car certainly needs repair to look good kembali. There fore the  Weld point tool is designed   to facilitate the process of repairing the body of a motor vehicle. The purpose of this tool is to repair the body of the motor vehicle.The benefit of this weld point tool is to facilitate the process of repairing the body of the vehicle with out perforating the plate and minimize the reduced quality of the repaired plate. Methods range from observation, determining problem limitations, tool creation execution, testing, to data retrieval. The  Weld point  tool uses a 10 ampere travo with a voltage of 10-24 volts and is equipped with a controller timer switch. The result of analisa  tool, platcan be kembali as original and the ring is still attached (successfully) when using 10 rings with a time of 5 seconds and a strong current of 24 volts. So it can be concluded that on transformer modification of the former microwafe  and its primary twists using email wire EIW diameter 2.5 mm can produce a maximum voltage of 24 volts. Dent pulling  can stick well to a plate size of 0.6 mm using a voltage of 24 volts at a time of 5 seconds. The current strength and voltage of the Weld point tool can  be adjusted  with the controller  on the controller timer switch,  so that the ampere can be adjusted by increasing or reducing the voltage and time.     THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PERFORMANCE OF GENERASI PESONA INDONESIA ON TOURISM PROMOTION

    Seeing many potentials for marine tourism and tourist visits which tend to fluctuate is certainly necessary to have a good performance effectiveness in promoting tourism. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of performance of GenPI of Bulukumba on tourism promotion. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, tries to describe the existing problems based on data from observations, interview and documentation. The researcher presented the data analysis, the results of the interpretation coming to a conclusion. This study used purposive sampling, namely determining the sample based on certain considerations (key informants), namely three members of GenPI of Bulukumba and fourteen regular informants.The results showed that the Personal factors of GenPI of Bulukumba were considered effective because the management already had good expertise, motivation and commitment. The Leadership factor was considered not good because the direction and support only provided through social media would make emotional and familiarity of the board members not well established. The Team factors was effective because the management of GenPI of Bulukumba had good coordination and cooperation in activities which were proven when Bulukumba Regency received a MURI record. The System factors was already effective because even though GenPI of Bulukumba had many limited facilities and there was no decree, GenPI of Bulukumba made achievements. The Contextual/situational factors, internally was considered not good because of a regulation that required the management to upload the posts of GenPI of Bulukumba which were deemed to violate the management's prerogatives

    Renovasi Masjid Mifthahul Khair yang pelaksanaanya sementara berlangsung saat ini merupakan momentum yang tepat dalam rangka mempersiapkan gapura serta pagar depan masjid sehingga nantinya saat selesainya renovasi sekaligus juga pagar dan gapura masjid. Sejak berdirinya masjid Mifthahul Khair hingga saat ini belum memiliki gapura dan untuk mengantisipasi pengeluaran kas pembangunan masjid agar tidak tersedot ke biaya pembuatan desain gapura dan pagar, maka tim melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan memberikan bantuan kepada masyarakat Lingkungan Konde terkhusus panitia pembangunan renovasi masjid Mifthahul Khair berupa desain gapura dan pagar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode survey dan pengukuran, desain awal, diskusi desain, desain akhir dan evaluasi, penyerhn desain. Pengabdian ini menghasikan desain gambar rencana gapura sekaligus dengan pagar Masjid Mifthahul Khair. Haisl desain ini telah dapat diterima oleh seluruh elemen masyarakat dimana ditunjukkan dengan hasil evalusi yang menunjukkan 77,96% responden menjawab setuju

    Performance Implications of NoCs on 3D-Stacked Memories: Insights from the Hybrid Memory Cube

    Memories that exploit three-dimensional (3D)-stacking technology, which integrate memory and logic dies in a single stack, are becoming popular. These memories, such as Hybrid Memory Cube (HMC), utilize a network-on-chip (NoC) design for connecting their internal structural organizations. This novel usage of NoC, in addition to aiding processing-in-memory capabilities, enables numerous benefits such as high bandwidth and memory-level parallelism. However, the implications of NoCs on the characteristics of 3D-stacked memories in terms of memory access latency and bandwidth have not been fully explored. This paper addresses this knowledge gap by (i) characterizing an HMC prototype on the AC-510 accelerator board and revealing its access latency behaviors, and (ii) by investigating the implications of such behaviors on system and software designs

    Entertainment Juncture of Two Castes: The identity and representation of Guqin and Guzheng

    Similar physical features of two traditional Chinese musical instruments, Guqin and Guzheng, have mistakenly led the general public to discern them as complementary duos. Contrary to this belief, both instruments have different historical backgrounds and purposes. Therefore, this research is conducted to (i) identify the identity of the two instruments and (ii) signify the representations of each instrument. This qualitative research adapted the descriptive comparative research design and used individualizing as an analysis method. In conclusion, despite the similarities in shape and playing techniques, these two instruments depict different messages, leading to other representations and purposes.     ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika John Fiske. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna hidup dalam iklan A Mild Go Ahead versi langkah 2016 melalui kode televisi John Fiske yaitu level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan iklan A Mild Go Ahead versi langkah 2016 mengandung tanda berupa audio dan visual. Kemudian tanda-tanda tersebut dikelompokkan sesuai dengan kode-kode televisi John Fiske. Pakaian, Penampilan, dan Ekspresi termasuk ke dalam level realitas. Sedangkan setting, narasi dan backsound juga representasi yang terbentuk termasuk ke dalam level representasi. Sedangkan level ideologi dilihat dari kode-kode ideologi yang terdapat dalam iklan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pakaian, penampilan dan ekspresi dari level realitas menunjukkan berbagai langkah yang dilalui manusia yang mengandung makna hidup. Pada level representasi, terdapat beberapa obyek yang direpresentasikan untuk membentuk makna. Namun di setiap obyek mengandung makna hidup yang berbeda-beda. Secara keseluruhan perpaduan audio dan visual dari iklan A Mild Go Ahead versi langkah 2016 merepresentasikan makna hidup yang menjadi ideologi setiap orang seperti fenomena traveling, aktivitas formal dan non formal dll.     COMPARISON OF COPPER LEVEL AND COLOR VISION IN PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS BEFORE AND AFTER ETHAMBUTOL TREATMENT IN CATEGORY I AND II

    Copper as a metal chelator in ethambutol may interfere oxidative phosphorylation and mitochondrial function that are useful in the formation of ATP, so that long-term damage can cause apoptosis and interfere color vision. This study aims to determine the correlation between duration of ethambutol and copper levels in serum with color vision disorder examined with Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue (FM100) in patients with tuberculosis. This study was an explorative observation of 20 samples during November 2017 - January 2018 period. Comparative analysis using independent t-test, paired t-test, Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test, while correlation analysis using Spearman's test and Pearson's test. There was a significant difference of FM100value before and after in category I (p=0.000) with increase of total error value 11.80+5.31 or category II (p=0.000) with increase of total error value 15.00+7.41. There was significant difference of Cu2+  level before and after in category I (p=0.005) with decrease of  Cu2+ level 15.57+5.04 mg/dL or category II (p=0.005) with decrease of  Cu2+ level 31.66+7.35 mg/dL. The duration of Ethambutol was related to changes in color vision examined with FM100
